Where to begin? The idea for this series stemmed from a conversation between friends. The flavour of the conversation was the lack of variety in the club racing in South West Ontario and Western NY. In particular in the GTA.
It was common belief in the motorcycle racing community that TMP was out of service and unusable in a racing application. This couldn't be further from the truth, after a meeting with TMP brass it was obvious that the track was not only usable but they were very receptive to the idea of a TMP based organization. SOAR the idea was born.
Next was a meeting of many racers and track enthusiasts in the community and it was obvious that if a solid club racing org were to operate in the GTA it would be welcome.
What we have today is the inaugural season in 2009 it is a 5 round series with a full slate of club sprints and at least two endurance rounds. We will offer a race school on the Friday practice before every round. We also have a track day section that is also on the Friday before each round. This was done to offer non-racers a way to experience the race weekend and hopefully make it easy for them to join us in our favourite sport.
During the organizational stage of the series rumours were flying so we were forced to release earlier than we would have liked in order to stifle the false information. Unfortunately we did not have our site up yet but that has now changed and from now on you will have one stop to gain information regarding Ontario's newest series.
Since the "release" of the series we have garnered the support of Pirelli (Orion), Blue Streak Racing, GTAM, Gecko Forwarding, Bickle Racing, Nitro-Lube Performance Lubricants, Asphalt Junkies and Supershow Events as sponsors and vendors for 2009. We are also in current talks with quite a few others and should have a full slate of support before the first round.

It's the track day segment of SOAR. There is a limited track day session incorporated into our Friday practice day. This is geared towards anyone teetering on the edge of racing. It allows the track day enthusiast to become part of the race weekend. Come do the track day, stay and enjoy the races. There will be a series of professional/expert licensed racers on had instructing the school that will be available for some one on one mentoring. This is a very limited session when it's full it's full. Buy all five days and save.
