LONDON'S ROB ATCHISON LEADS IHRA QUALIFYING AT TORONTO MOTORSPORTS PARK

TORONTO (July 25, 2003) - Canadian Rob Atchison led first day Funny Car qualifying at the ACDelco Canadian Nationals at Toronto Motorsports Park. Atchison, of London, Ont., ran a 5.775 e.t. at 242.02 miles per hour to take the top spot.

"We learned a lot at Milan and couldn't wait to get back on the track," said Atchison. "It's great to be back home. I've got all my sponsors here. I'm with my friends and family again. We've got an awesome team over here."

Other number one qualifiers include Clay Millican, Drummonds, Tenn., (Top Fuel); Mitch Stott, Mill Spring, NC, (Pro Modified); and Chris Holbrook, Redford, Mich., (Sunoco Race Fuels Pro Stock).

Qualifying resumes Saturday with final eliminations Sunday. The ACDelco Canadian Nationals is the seventh event of the 2003 Hooters IHRA Drag Racing Series.
